This fabric is very useable and versatile for a scrappy style quilt. All the Moonscape colors are. This one is perfect for little pops of dark that don't dominate or draw your eye right away.
I love this fabric because it's not an everyday, run of the mill shade of green. To me, it's important to have many shades of green in my stash, just like there are in nature. They all go together!
This fabric just makes me happy! I love green, and this one sings! All the tiny butterflies are so cute and add movement and texture. This will be awesome in a quilt!
This pattern is written so well! Not only are the fabrics used given a number, you get a diagram showing where they are used in each block, a black & white diagram that you can color or paste fabric swatches on yourself, and coloring pages for each size quilt! I also love that the cutting instructions for each size are on a separate page instead of a table. Plus, the flying geese units are made in the super efficient modern way! Lindsey has included words of encouragement here and there, and a lovely little story at the end, so be sure to read through, it's the topper on a great pattern that I'm really looking forward to sewing!
